Fifth project for my art class. I've been looking at NW Native American style art and decided to design then carve a totem pole. This is the design part, and the carving will come later.
Each of these animals represents one person in my immediate family. Animals from top down: Orca, Beaver, Frog, Raccoon, Goat, Bear. The original is really tiny, smaller even than the full view. :/ |

As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same. I'm in an International Baccalaureate art class at my high school. It's basically independent study; we choose a thesis and then do about ten projects relating to that throughout the year. I researched this style from books provided by my teacher since it relates to my thesis (connections between animals).
